My Sound
I try to craft a unique sound that fuses the timeless soul of blues, the sophisticated edge of jazz, room for improvisation and the raw energy of rock. Every production comes straight from the heart, inspired by real-life events, all forms of art and personal experiences.

For decades, I have been a dedicated live performer.
My journey in music began long before I pursued formal studies at the Groningen Conservatory. This extensive experience has allowed me to cultivate a deep connection with audiences and master the craft of live performance.
About Radboud Withaar
Radboud Withaar is a session guitar player from the Netherlands. He released several solo albums, which can be heard on all streaming services.
After playing the piano and oboe as a kid, Radboud started playing the guitar. Inspired by rock bands like AC/DC and Iron Maiden.
He graduated from the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen and did his master's at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
His own style is a mix of Rock/Jazz/Pop/Funk, and Blues.
His sound on the guitar is unique as a result of studying many different styles. Getting inspired, but also depressed, by how good some players are in a certain style, Radboud decided to follow the sound he felt in his soul. You can hear snippets of his original songs on Instagram and YouTube and full songs on all streaming services. With Dutch party band ‘The Recipe’ and rock musical ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, he tours mainly in the Netherlands and does a lot of session work with different Dutch musicians.
Radboud loves giving guitar lessons, mainly at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and at ‘Haenen Muziek’ in Voorburg, The Netherlands.
